Metal Arms glitch in the system is one of the best games i have played ever. its got such character and action and adrenaline pumpng scnes that make me want to scream with delight. kind of... well anyway, its just so superbly put together that it makes it a hugely pleasant game experience. It proboblay my favourite game along with star wars republic commando and spiderman 2.
To start with in the opening scene Glitch, a miner droid with odd markings on his head, is found in reckage and rebuilt by the swearing krunk. hes lost his memory and brought into a world of destruction and devastation. the droids are being overrun and beaten by the mills, a new race of stupid mass produced robots lead by the evil, giant, supergenius general corossive. general coroossive was made my other robots, but as soon as he came alive he killed them all, all except one, dr exavolt, the main designer, whos body is still strangely missing.Glitch is brought to droid city, the last place where there are free droids. as soon as he is brought back it is attacked by mills and glitch is plunged into the endless war. you use a huge host of mining, home made and mill weapons, like the rocket launcher, ripper, SPEW, rivet gun and shotgun. The grpahics in the game are above average, and there is some good in game sounds and funny voicing for the robots that can make you laugh. The fight scenes are fast and with a liquid smooth display rate and injected with a great skill. the game is generally hard, which is how i like it, and there are 40+ missions, which is what i really like. the missions each take about 12 minutes and are fun and have a big replay value. this is how games should be made!
you can use washers, the in game currency found in broken mills to buy new weapons, ammo, upgrades for weapons and batterys, making glitch's life gauge bigger from Shady and Mr pockets, who are easily found throughout levels.. there are also morbots, a race of underground robots, dissappeared for ages, never seen, that have been rumoured to have been making extreme technology far supressing any other.
There are three vehicles in the game, also used for multiplayer. The titan is basically a tank with bazooka and machine gun. theres a flying hovercraft thing that can shoot machine gun and pick up people with its hook. there are RATs that are like warthogs in halo but faster. a drivers seat and a gunner. there are some good RAT levels in the story mode as well. there are a number of turrets to use and machines to possess. by using a tether cable you can hijack some droids and control them, you can most of the droids in the mil army which is cool, including a fully flying one and a jet pack trooper. you can use this in multiplayer as well. multiplayer is awesome with lots of modes, create your own modes, and lots and lots of arenas. you can unlock extra arenas by finding secret chips in levels or getting speed chips by completing certain levels quikly. three complaints about the game, in the multiplayer mode, you cant(whether your with mates or your own) make enemy droids to go against. this would be cool because then you could play the awesome multiplayer single player as well. also, it says that by playing story mode, you will uncover glitchs past and what his markings mean. you never find out! im guessing hes a morbot though. also, more than three vehicles would be really cool. the ending also makes a perfect gateway for a sequal, although i've heard no plans for one, which is a real shame. a fun game with lots of levels great multiplayer and big replay value. what else would you want? dont have doubts about buying this game, theres a huge chance you wont be dissapointed. beware though, the levels can be quite hard sometimes.
