I've played PE5 for about 5 months, and only now feel able to rate it. It is without doubt the hardest game to master that I have ever played!

Gamers used to previous PE will be initially frusyrated at how hard it is to score. The truth is that like Gran Turismo, it is more of a simulation than a game. You become totally convinced that you are playing a real game. And as in real life there aren't too many 5-0 drubbings, and more than a fair share of 0-0s!

The attention to detail is awesome - just see how the players sulkily react whan a foul is given against them. That said, i do miss the pick up and play feel of previous PE games. Another couple of niggles - throw-ins are just plain naff, refs are toop whistle-happy and the offside rule doesnt work well.

If PE6 addresses these flaws and generally is a bit more fun, it will be the best game ever.
