Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is the most popular game of all time. It is an absolute genius of a masterpiece any man must behold in its magnificence and beauty that is Grant Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is Rockstar’s finest achievement to date and will continue to be until the next Grand Theft Auto. Every new Grand Theft Auto that comes out brings with it new hope and expectation of the most amazing experience any gamer can ever imagine, I honestly cannot stress how big this game is, when this game arrived on the shelves so did Rockstar’s finest hour, their pride and joy, their baby, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

The game is set in the fictional state of San Andreas, but in reality “San Andreas Fault” is a geological fault that runs a length of roughly 800 miles (1287 kilometres) through California, United States. The San Andreas Fault can be divided into three segments, which may explain why Rockstar chose this as their destination for GTA, 3 fictional states in the game and three segments in reality. The “San Andreas Fault” first came into world wide recognition in 1989 when a large earthquake struck near Santa Cruz in California causing 63 deaths, heavy damage to the San Francisco Bay Area with magnitude about 7.1 but most famously the earthquake also postponed game 3 of the 1989 World Series at Candlestick Park.

Set in the 1990’s when body art, the hip hop scene, violence, sex, and profanity. All of these refer to what GTA San Andreas is mainly about, hate it or love it (We’re sure you will love it). You can purchase many properties in the game and build a criminal empire improving your reputation as you progress throughout the game with missions and buying properties and many other unlockables etc. There is improved A.I. in GTA: SA with gangs being able to follow you in missions and external unlockable missions outside the compulsory missions. An excellent new feature in GTA: SA is the gym and the “you are what you eat” attitude in the game. You can go into a fast food store and purchase many burgers, but be warned if you eat to much food in to short period of time you can be sick. You can go to the gym to gain muscle, lose weight, and improve your cardiovascular endurance and improve your character appearance. This can be great fun and is executed well, as you cannot lift your maximum weight all day, there are realistic repetitions and sets, and you can also do a bit of sparring in the gym if you wish to improve your one on one or group combat. There are also new vehicles including bicycles for you to ride on, and new weapons and targeting system.

You can pretty much do anything in GTA: SA from riding bicycles to getting your haircut to completing random missions robbing houses, pretty much everything you were told as a kid not to do you can do (except for cutting your hair).

The missions are as ever intense in depth and compelling, they seem realistic as the best a PS2 can offer for a game. Even if you complete the whole game the secret missions will keep you busy for months and months finding packages, you can play basketball as well ( another way to lose weight and get fit).

But be warned this game is not rated an 18+ game for no reason, this is not for the faint hearted, and you go on killing sprees and everything deadly with a with a huge arsenal of weapons. This game is a brilliant buy and a must buy for anyone, you will fully understand when you play it.
10/10.
