SSX Tricky is a brilliant game for its type, already its dominating all Winter sport games. Made by EA games it is quite unique. Featuring lots of new characters including Brodi, Zoë, Simon, Jp, Seehiah, Marisol, Eddie, Elise, Luther, Kaori, Moby and Marty. With new uber tricks and high speed races it’s a really good game. When you are snowboarding you can get speed boosts and trick boosts. There are new types of boards, freestyle boards for show-offs and speed boards for races and there is a combo board which is a mixture of both boards. Each character has their own special super uber trick that is a cut above the rest of the usual uber tricks. Also each board differs from other boards like a speed board might have different tricks than a combo board. You can get costumes by doing the right tricks, to do this you must go to your trick chapter and check which tricks you must to do for that particular costume. But be warned they get a lot harder as you go on. Do all the tricks in the trick chapter and you shall get the master costume. Each time you finish a show-off or a race you get experience points, they enable you to boost your ranking and upgrade your turning, stability, speed, edging and tricks. The better you do in the event the more points you shall get. Your goal is to be the champion of snowboarding and become a master of the peaks in show-offs or races or both. But you can’t just go and snowboarding like a nice boy you have to knock your opponents down if you knock them same person down enough times there will be a fight at the end of the event. However when you start of you will have some friends and enemies anyway, but knock down your friend and he/she might get angry. The particular character you might pick has a particular enemy and friend. If you are a beginner to the game you can free ride for a while to get used to the slopes. Only three slopes are available when you first start of but the more you unlock the more you can free ride on. Also you can pick if you want it easy, semi-pro or pro, when you start, it’s on easy. If you don’t know which character to choose you can always read their public profile. It tells you what sport they do, where they are from, what food they like and lots of other things about them. It will also say who is their friend or enemy and what their favorite track is. At the start it will tell you what special abilities the character has that you picked. One might be good at tricks and very slow or one might be fast and bad at tricks that are when your experience points come in, use them to upgrade their disadvantages and keep everything equal. Also they can start of with everything equal as well. When you get to the end of the game two new tracks will be unlocked. If you got gold in an all the races a new track will be unlocked for races and if you gold in all the show-offs a new track will be unlocked for show-offs. To become a master you must get gold in every track both in races and show-offs, have to tell you though it’s not a walk in the park. When you are in a middle of an event you will se signs that say SSX Tricky on them. They are special short cuts that give you a good boosts if you are in the middle of a race. As you can see by now this is a wonderful game for people that love Winter sports. If you liked this game you will love the ones coming out. Also theirs a special feature which show how the game was made and it also shows the character’s real voice. When you are feeling bored why don’t you listen to SSX Tricky’s own Jukebox full of good hip-hop and funk music. So happy playing and have a good time playing this game.
