In my opinion this has to be the best in the Tomb Raider series so far (upto and including Legend). The game play is extremely similar to that found in the previous Tomb Raider titles, with improved graphics. A much improved, progressive and imersive, story line puts this heads and tails above the previous titles.

For the first time in a Tomb Raider title, The Angel of Darkness introduces a second (playable) character into the mix. Although playing as this charcter is only a small portion of the entire game, this experience gives the The Angel of Darkness that little more mystery and introduces emotions previous titles didn't even attempt to envoke.

Where previous Tomb Raider titles offered only a very bland story line choosing instead to focus on the action, The Angel of Darkness succeeds in providing an intense story with excelent action and imerssive game play.
