this game is great for everybody from 7 year olds to 30 years olds i certainly enjoyed it. its highly addictive. you cant put the controller down. when i picked the game up in the shop i thought you was going to take control of the warrior of the land and defeat an enemy kingdom at war. then when i played the game i was surprised that it was a young cat in training school who's village was being taken over by rats and gorillas. what have gorillas got against cats? the animals didn't have chinese accents either. the cats sound American, the dragon sounds australian, the frogs sound jamaica and the rats sound Japanese. but i suppose it makes th characters sound more interesting. the music however is chinese and there isn't many games out with chinese music you have to admit. the other thing that's good about the music is that it blends in,for example in the village of the cats the music is peaceful but in the battle scenes the music is fast, its a bit like the mission impossible song but chinese, pretty cool if you ask me.this game is a fusion of platforming and sword fighting and its a great mixture of formatting. the good thing about the weaponry is that you don't just use a sword, you use huge claws and a hammer, and you can upgrade them three times. the weapons have different abilities, for example, the claws a very fast but they are no good at harming enemies with armor. the hammer is the strongest weapon of them all but its very slow. the sword is my favourite because it has average speed and average strength. the sword is my favourite, my second favourite is the hammer and my least favourite is the claws. the easiest level is the cat village and the hardest levels are the part were your underneath the palace and frog city were you have to find all the eggs. i think a legend of Kay two game would be great. it could tell you how the cat of congratulated kay and what happened to the rats and gorrillas.
i think they could improve on the animals voicing in the second one and put a bit more nature into the scenery to make look more chinese. i didn't like the story cutscenes because it looks like a comic book.people dont want to see comic books, people want to see that the creaters have worked hard into making the characters move and interact with eachother. during the non-comic style cutscenes the characters dont show as much expression as kay, i think this is because many of the characters dont have as many faceial featers as him such as eyebrows and eyelids. the characters could make more actions aswell. i think they have thought of all the chinese animals exept the tiger but i guesse they will be the same as the cats. i think that now they have found the girl cat, she should have a bigger part in the second one. mabe it would be a good idear if you could take control of her.
the game is anoying when you have to look for things like cat statues to get to the next level, but i was expecting something like that. the way it ends is a bit weird, you defeat the king of the gorillas but then when you think its all over, you have to defeat his bodygaurd who has mutated himself, but every storyline in a game has a strange part. well thats my review. thank you for reading.
