I was (and still am!) really impressed with this game! I am an avid gamer who just seems to be a bit hopeless with most games and love my Zelda type games on the handhelds. This game doesn't require a degree in rocket science but is challenging enough for those who do want more.
It follows the story of a young prince and is split over a few years with different quests he goes on. It has a little love story running through it along with family relationships all the time still being a great RPG (zeldaishy) game. The quests are seperated into "books" making each quest do-able and not long and drawn out.
I must admit after I had completed the first quest, I was a little downheartened thinking "Is that it!!!???" because it only took a few hours only to be over the moon to find the story continues 2 years along the line and so on. Although I'm yet to comment on the real ending but I'm very close! And thats 30+ gamng hours for me! I do find it very difficult to put down because it's such an easy going game. All the way through the game as the story unfolds there are video type parts to the game which I feel really add to the storytelling process.
My only complaint would be that during much of the game, not so much towards the end, it is quite difficult to do things fast because of the monster battles. You can't see them and to run away would cost money but then again you do gain lots of valuable experience from these battles! The bosses are achievable, although occaisionally long winded! But hey, at the moment I'm winning!!!
I would recommend this game to anyone and would say that it is definately my Number 1 PSP game!
Please play and enjoy
