Tiger Woods returns and makes his second appearance on the XBOX 360 but will you be teeing off to buy this game or leaving it in the bunker? Read on to find out.

Note: This review is of a demo downloaded from the XBOX Live Marketplace. This means anything I mention in this review could be changed or taken out before the full retail version is released.

What I Played: I got to play as Tiger Woods in four holes including hole one of eighteen, Princeville, the fifth at Bandon Dunes, the 16th at Firestone Country Club, and the 18th at St. Andrews. My favourite out of the four is probably Princeville.

Other Notes: I played this on a High Definition Television and I played Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 on a non-HD television so forgive me if I have made a big mistake with graphics difference.

I feel that every Tiger Woods game I have played has the same feel about it just with a few differences and this is no different. It’s how the old saying goes, if it doesn’t need fixing, don’t fix it, but I don’t think it lives up to its standard.

The graphics are a slight improvement from the previous game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 and the gameplay is also slightly better for a few reasons. One thing I think is quite a let down is the fact that the sound is too simple as all there is, is the ball being hit by the club, the ball landing on the rough or in water and crowd cheering. This may sound like the basic golf sounds but this is next generation. Surely there could be the sound of the wind very faintly?

I would have liked to play the T-I-G-E-R game but otherwise I thought it was a fairly good demo but there are better.

The achievements for the retail game are varied but I feel there are more harder achievements than there are easy. Some of the easy achievements include creating a male and female golfer, winning a game of seven and twenty one, playing certain events and challenges and playing in five tournaments. Some of the harder ones include collecting every trophy ball, defeating Mike Weir, Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie, Chris DiMarco and Tiger Woods in the Tiger Challenge and attaining one hundred percent (%) game completion.

Overall for Tiger Woods: PGA Tour 2007 on the XBOX 360:

Graphics: 89% - A great attempt as everything looks great though there are a few flaws and maybe the grass could be a bit more bladed.
Gameplay: 75% - Tiger Woods is now as easy as ever with the excellent features to make it slightly harder meaning it’s more challenging.
Lifespan: N/A – Estimate 80% - All sports games have a good lifespan if you like the sport and with online modes to compete in as well, it looks pretty interesting. Also, the achievements look fairly challenging as you have to beat world class players including Colin Montgomerie in order to get the full one thousand (1000).
Multiplayer/Online: N/A – Estimate 65% - Tiger Woods has never been the best multiplayer game, especially online.
Single Player: N/A – Estimate 70% - There’s always the career mode and the games to play but then it’ll be just like any other Tiger Woods game.
Sound: 68% - There’s the obvious sounds you would expect to hear and that’s about it.

Overall: 75% - A fairly good game but not one you will be playing for too long with a whole load of great games coming out soon including Call of Duty 3, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas and Gears of War but sports fans will like FIFA better.
