i owned the 2002 version of this for a little while and then decided to get this version as it also included the game of pool, which i enjoy. having just played 2002 and then playing this, i fully expected a hugh leap in terms of graphics and unless my eyes deceived me, thought that the 2002 version looked a little more smoother and detailed. other than that everything remained the same, other than having pool included. this game just like the rest is rock hard, the thing is you can have a little help by choosing an arrow which shows you the direction where the ball your hitting will go and where the white will also go. you can adjust this to make it harder to see where the ball is going to go, but if you are like me, you would prefer to turn it off and have a challenge to make it more realistic. be prepared to be in for a short night as you see your opponent wipe the floor with you. the thing is, whether you break or not, by the time it is the computers turn, it knocks in some of the most hardest shots and still lines up for the next. i don't just mean hard shots, i mean some that even the pros would probably get 1 in 10 times. the computer just goes mad and you end up just sitting getting bored, watching the balls slowly vanishing one by one. even if you do get a shot and it looks easy or even straight, you will find yourself missing them and watching the opponent clear the the rest, eventually winning 110 points to 1, if your lucky. you will end up just tapping the balls, trying to snooker your opponent, just to grab a few points, whilst you have got the chance. however don't get too clever as even with snookers, there probably still manage not only to hit the ball, but even knock it down and leave themselves on for the next shot. however, i did find the game of pool a little more playable. i am not saying bad things about this game because i hate the game, far from it. i have played both pool and snooker myself in real life and love both. however compared to the game, i can actually hit more balls in, in real life and would be very interested to see a pro play this game, just to see exactly how accurate they would be. you can actually turn the mode to easy, but as i say you will still have a job knocking your balls down. this is a good game, but does not have the same single player appeal of so many other sports games. this game is more interesting in two player mode, as there is more interest in an even game. i would rate this 7/10 but will give it 8/10, as the pool and two player option saves the day.
