You're a Star Wars fan. You've always wished you could play in the battles. Now you can.

You need to know nothing else.

Yes, there are better online FPS shooters. Yes, you will have seen better graphics. Yes, there are balance issues with the big pieces of hardware. Yes, the AI can be dopy and annoying.

Despite all of this, this is one of the better games I have played all year. Once you get over the realisation that your player character is expendable, that small tactical interventions can change the course of each battle, you relax into it.

If you've ever wanted to shoot Gungans and Ewoks, you can. If the thought of fighting beside Darth Vader, or being killed by him, thrills you, then this is your game. Personally, my spirits soared the moment I heard the distinctive Star Wars theme and have stayed right up there.

The only downside is that this game is really for those who are online.
