I have the benefit of being an Englishman in NY, so last tuesday I bought RE4, and let me say, it's bloody amazing!
It took a little while to get used to the new view set ups, but once I got into it I was hooked.
The atmosphere of the game is scary as hell, and gone are the pain in the ass delays of walking through doors.
The enemies in this game are far smarter than those in previous RE titles. For example, if you climb up on to the roof of a house to avoid them, they will use ladders to hunt you down.

This is by far the most entertaining game I have played in a long, long time - Buy it as soon as you can. Nuff said
