gears of war is finally hear and it's landed with a bang and i mean what a bang!Ever since it's 30 second appearence at E3 it's being on everone's chritsmas list.and this sort of game for the 360 is exactly why people bought the 360 and in my view the best by a mile the 360 has seen so far. It has everything , fabulous gameplay , one he!! of a solid story , Amazing graphics (and i tell you what i don't have a hd t.v yet!) and more importanly great multiplayer!i Tell you when people go mentioning the phrases "HALO KILLER" and "NEW HALO" well to be honest it is far from that!Geras of war is in it's own class by far.This is not Halo , this is not a 3rd person shooter you played years ages ago and very simply this game does not only keep you on your edge of your seat , but also allows you to bring the noise to them "things" known as locusts!The basic premise is simply "save the world" while this may not be exciting the actual backstory makes it memorable.You are Marcus Frank an ex-soldier turn inmate , when the planet sera becomes desparate they call on anyone to defend it, this is where you come in.Something i liked is not kicking you into g&y training when you can just look at the instruction book!it gives you the CHOICE of getting straight into the action.The game describes the hard fought battle against a memorable army of death like monsters from beneath.As soon as you begin the fire fighting know this : COVER IS ESSENTIAL!! Sure when you start the gun battles it feels like killswitch , however there are more visceral ways of eliminating the threat.You have the standard machine gun which by the way it has a CHAINSAW on the end of it!Then you have your standard Rocket/grenade , launcher , sniper , shot guns , myriad pistols , pretty much what you would expect in a shooter.The idea of covering is well done also , Practically everything can be a cover couches, pillers, sand bags, cement barricades, etc. And covers such as furniture gets destroyed as it takes more punishment which forces you to move out to another spot. This definitely adds to the tension of the fire fights, as you struggle to take out legions of snarling Locusts while protecting your own ass and your crew, which btw you have three members, which honestly are quite stupid at times, however it is kinda acceptable. You also have the ability to command your time to regroup, attack, etc. You also can revive a downed ally. Now the story itself is short depending on the player, however if you are a completist the single player will draw you for the achievements points. You have three difficulties Casual, Hardcore, and Insane. Casual is basically your normal setting, while hardcore takes it up notch, while insane is !*!* bonkers. We are talking about an insane amount of locusts just swarming you relentlessly; it is recommended that you take this fight with a partner via split screen or Xbox live. This brings us to its biggest feature the online part. I am gonna be very bias on this part; the ONLINE is straight up SICK..I love it. Despite a meager amount of available game modes it still manages to get the job done. You have your basic matches which are by they way team oriented. War zone is your basic team death match. Execution forces you to use a variety of moves to finish your opponent off. Lastly, we have Assassination which is basically killing the leader type match. Honestly Assassination is my least favorite, war zone is basic, however execution forces you at times to fight face to face which is bloody awesome. Quite frankly the online portion offers a acceptable amount of maps and weapons that will draw people in for months. With all this said I love this game it is awesome, it adrenaline pumping, bodies flying, head stomping, eviscerating fun. You should definitely try this game out and have fun with it, it is without of doubt the must have game of the year. You won’t be disappointed..

Best Online Moment:
The odds are against you four to one, then you systematically eliminate everyone via chainsaw, and getting the win for your team, even though your team is losing 5 matches to 1.

Best Campaign Moment:
Meeting the Berserker and have it run over you dozens of time, and then getting revenge on the *!*!* with the Hammer of "mother *!*!* Dawn..

it is a must buy of the century 10/10
