Star trek tactical assault is a game that has taken its roots in older games. i remember playing Star Trek: Starfleet Command for pc when i was about four, and this is near enough the same game. If anything it's smaller, featuring less ships. But what it lacks in the ship library it makes up for in gameplay. This game has been given a whole new control interface, storyline and method of play. You play the part of Lt. Commander Renolds, a cadet who graduated in the top two percent of the class, winning for Scholarship and Leadership. As you play through the game you begin to unlock new ships and be requisitioned new vessels. All in all, a good game but still not not good enough to, for instance, wait for an hour queing in hmv (I should have read the reveiws first)
