The call of duty series is well known for it's unmatched intensity and realism.The call of duty games feature some of the loudest and most frantic firefights i have ever played through.The first game broke new ground for the WW|| genre (as strange as that may sound) and the sequel upgraded the game with some amazing visuals and even better audio.The third call of duty game looks and sounds even better than the previous one. the gameplay is also very good although it's being pretty much unchanged , which may be good to you or bad.

The gameplay in call of duty 3 is pretty much identical to call of duty 2 , which of course was pretty similar to the call of duty (1). The core of the game is pretty dam good shooting but sadly behind cover.There are a few additions , but nothing drastic has being done to change the formula.

The most notable changes are to the gameplay which include the new interactive activities such as rowing boats , driving cars, placing charges and getting into a cobat fight with a nazi.Except for rowing a boat , these are all pretty neat / or enjoyable , but none are very spectaculary unique. The melee combat is very simple and it's always a scripted event.You can never just decide to run up to an Nazi and engage in a intense melee combat.The melle combat though is neat , but it's a very minor part of the game.

I suppose that many will consider it's a good thing that the game has not changed much.I think the game is still very fun and i've played it for hours but i suppose though u would have liked to see a few more changes , just so that there was more to distinguish this game from it's predecessors than the graphics.Still the game is fun.

Anothe (very minor ) complaint i have with the gameplay is that the frequentness of cut scenes. In call of duty 3 , to progress the story you are often taken out of the game and put into a long lecturing movie which you cannot skip!!This would be o.k but these cut scenes are more for a history lesson not for a game(why do you think we bought a console?)Still this is a minor blip and it's not something that should not make you get this game.

Graphically, this game looks amazing. Characters though are a bit dull though - they look the same - but the enviroments are brilliant.The guns are amazing and all the effects are also look so good , such as the smoke and explosions.A new addition i really like is the occasional rag doll affect on dead bodies , say if you just shoot them sometimes they fly up in the air , which though makes them fall dead more realistically.Another great addition is the way your view shakes and moves realistically when you peform actions such as reloading. The screen will shake about as your character moves his head around.But an anoying thing is that this really gay white thing comes on if you've being shot to much and a noise as though your earing aid is broke!!Reading this, that may not seem very impressive, but it really adds to the realism and intensity of the game.The only issue with the graphics i haved issued the warning with the blip of the rag dollness.

The greatest thing about the newest call of duty is ,as usual, the audio.The audio in call of duty 3 is that amazingly loud and adds the intensity more than anyting else.It may sound stupid but if you turn your t.v up you'll understand what i am talking about.

so i advise you ,ifyou already haven't ,use your spare christmas money to go but this.
