It's free and it's probably the first game everyone plays on the Wii. Obviously first impressions are important and with this console attracting attention from people who wouldn't normally go near a console, it was critical Nintendo got this game right. Have they? For a simple game that doesn't try to be to clever it actually pulls it off.
If this game came out a year later and you had to pay the full price for it, who knows if it would of done so well?
GRAPHICS/SOUND: This isn't so important in a game that doesn't try to look realistic, but rather more cartoon like using Mii characters, including ones you create yourself. There simple, clear and fun looking so to please all ages and tastes. The sound is very good as they usually are in any sports game, with good samples and crowd noise, the bowling alley in surround sound is my favourite, just like the real thing.
LONGATIVITY: This game will be one to come back to for as long as you own the Wii. Even if you never play it on your own, when ever a mate or two are round, or even your grand parents for that matter, Wii sport will be loaded up and wii-motes flying around the room. I have to say this will be the best value game your ever own, what a way to launch a console.
