WarioWare: Smooth Moves...
this game is really hyped up, and very fun to play, you start off watching a scene where Wario himself actually picks up a WiiMote from some building that he was chasing someone in, and he was like WOW must have, and so lent it to his friends to help them show what it can do... in order to do that it has all these like minigames that are yet very simple but yet fun to play, games like insert the granny dentures, balance the mop, sort it out and shave the sheep to name a few... also it has these side minigames that arent part of the storyline to progress further games like block star and tower tennis.
i purely have rated it a 9/10 quite simple cos i love it, specially block star where you gotta balance all these blocks of different shapes and sizes, and tower tennis kinda takes the mickey out of DX-Ball a little bit, smashing the blocks as you get higher up, and it gets harder too.
each of the minigames in the stories all have to be done within 5 seconds and you gotta hold the WiiMote in all sorts of funny positions like the thumb wrestler and the elephant, its quite funny, especially if you're watching a mate play hehe - you can have up to 16 different saved profiles before you have to delete one if you want another, the game has no SAVE GAME button as the game actually automaticially saves itself without telling you, and as there is no lag you dont know when it has saved your progress, but is has, it makes it feel like them cartridges on the N64 where the game would save your progress, i think thats very clever.
graphicially its not brilliant but then why do you want great graphics? - i personally think that for a game of this calibre, that the graphics are just perfect, its all simple which i think reminds you that you dont need good graphics to have fun y'know, think back to pac-man and space invaders.
the sound is i feel quite good, i love the music when it tells you its gonna get faster, that lil section for me is great. and when you're in the faster sections the music and gameplay speeds up, which is what its sposed to do to try and catch you out with time pressures as all the games are still 5 seconds, but it really doesnt feel that way and you often go like ahhhh.
there is a section in the game where you can practise to your hearts content, there are 3 levels in each form of practice, dont worry if you didnt do one of the levels, it still goes on to the next... the forms you can practice are only the ones that you have yet unlocked in the game, so like if you're doing this current level in the game and you cant seem to do the minigames, then im afraid the only practice is to keep at it, as it wont be unlocked in the pratice centre till you've beaten the boss at that level which is one of the features i dont like but we're just gonna have to get over it eh, but having said that, the practice centre is a very nice feature as if you saw a minigame that you liked, you can go back and replay it, its quite nifty.
another thing i like is that you can select whether you're left or right handed, and the game will adjust accordingly, telling you how to hold it and such. for example for the boxer method, if you're left handed it'll be in your left hand and vice versa if you're right handed so thats nice for all the lefties out there in this right handed world.
so in summary, the games great with a nice mix of sound and little minigames that will just keep you going, so if you have got a Wii... i recommend this game...so go buy it...
