Alright lets see! pokemon colosseum is a great gamecube game! Practically because there were only two games of pokemon on gamecube:p Well Pokemon Colosseum had way cooler graphics than the ones in the handheld games. For instances you got to actually see how a move looked like instead of just watch some wave go across your screen, now you get to see a huge wave come out of nowhere and see it go straight into your opponent! Not only that it has become a lot easier to raise your pokemon level thanks to Mt. Battle where you get up to 100 battles with 10 levels. you also get four legendary pokemon that are all from Gold and Silver. also it had even become easier to find the three of the legendary pokemon since they are with three of the bosses. I’m not saying that its an easy game that you can just breeze by for it's not. yes you have Mt. Battle but you don’t get to go to the game until later through the game. now here come the downside of the game.
one thing that gets me really tick is that you have only a few pokemon to chose. and you don’t get to trade with sapphire and ruby until after you beat the game. you only get like fifty pokemon to chose and most of them are weak or you are already too strong. you cant even trade with NPC's pokemon like in the handheld. another thing is that girl that is always following you. yeah she is helpful in the beginning but once you get all the shadow who needs her. and when you finally get the master ball you already caught almost all of them, usually you only have two or three left. you don’t even get all TMs! another thing is that you can only save on the pc which is really lame.
so in conclusion I find pokemon colosseum a really great game for gamecube. it has way cooler attacks thought they are they same but it still looks cooler. the game you will mainly always play in doubles which makes it more of a strategy game so that’s a bonus. money isn’t much of a problem unless you like to raise you pokemon stats. its is hard to find items for they look like tiny shards of glass. it isn’t hard to raise for pokemon since they are mainly in their forty’s or thirty’s. anther thing is that when you get ho-oh your are in your 100's so that will seem pointless. it mainly revolves around the colosseum that’s why the title says it all! there isn’t any stones so your pokemon cant get stone so they cant evolve. most of the time when you kill a shadow pokemon you cant get it until the end of the game. so if there is a pokemon you like you will sometimes end up restarting your game. but since I find this game good and to fight at level 100 I liked it sort of but this is a review not a commentary so oh well. if you like a game about pokemon where you mainly fight in a colosseum and you always double team which can limit what you do since many effect your pokemon as well. and if you like a game with a storyline that has a twist in the beginning and the end like how your character is was once.. oh well
