Halo is a great game. It looks good, it plays well and there's a challenge to be found. This really is one of the best first person shooters you'll find, especially on a console.
There are some great levels to play ranging from inside space crafts, in heavy forestry and on the beach. You'll also have the chance to work in groups on some of the levels and drive vehicles including tanks and a four wheeled vehicle called the warthog. Despite the majority of levels being fun you'll find that some of the later indoor levels look very similar and can bore you very easily.
The weapons are quite limited but what's there seems to be very useful in certain situations. You won't find any weapons that are just there to be used once and never again. You'll likely to have used all the weapons effectively throughout the game.
Although I have not really played within multiplayer very much it does seem to be quite good. It includes many different game types and modes. You can link up 4 Xbox’s via the system link cable and have 16 people in a game. That does sound very fun indeed, it just depends whether you have enough friends with Xbox’s and control pads to do it.
If you're a fan of First Person Shooters then you must purchase this game just to see if it lives up to the hype. I'll probably bet that you'll like it, whether you think it's 'the greatest game ever made' is another question though. Go buy it; you'd have trouble finding something better.
