i'm new to the pokemon phenomenon. starting with pokemon red, then pokemon gold;i was stunned at the huge leap in technology in pokemon green.
the tiny, realistic, escalators in the pokemon healing and trading centers (although unimportant strategically) were indicative of the degree of sophistication in the overall game.
advanced moves, such as thunder and fake-out are fun, make that FUN to use.i am sure everyone has their own particular favourites.
the game teaches responsibility to small children and strategy to children of ALL ages.
everyone benefits from learning to be patient.
challenges advance in unexpected ways:your second attempt to beat the elite four (after first defeating them)
may not result in the anticipated easy money or fun defeat with untrained pokemon at the forefront.
they now have newer, stronger pokemon.
it's still big fun...
