My review shouldn't really count beecause it is really biased. but i can compare it with the 360 as objectively as possible!
The 360 may be the cheaper option at just under £280, but that is not all you are going to pay in order to maximse it's potential. where as the PS3 is all things to all people straight outta the box.
The HDD's on the 2 consoles is one of the more obvious comparison's to make. The 20gb of the 360 to the 60gb of the premium PS3. not much you might say.
but when you find the built-in BluRay DVD player of the PS3 is playable out of the box without any extra purchase, you begin to see the PS3 as a better buy especially since as at the time I am writing this the 360console and it's accompanying HD-DVD player will set you back by £375. The PS3 as I write this is costing £390.
£15 is still an amount of money in some circles. But tell you what else you get for that £15. Built in wireless connectivity, hdmi output connection; seamless compatibility with other Playstation products; no monthly subscription to networked play and an existing catalogue of games that number in their thousands. excluding the ones that are not compatible of course. Also there is reason to beleive thyat some of the older games are going to be re-released for the PS3 format for download at a subsidised price.
I sound like a sony fanboy - true. And truth be told, I hate the fact that sony is what it is. But we all have to admit that the PS3 is the ultimate console and despite it's price offers superior value for money.
At the moment the only reason why you should choose the 360 over the PS3 is for the exclusive game content available. but that is all set to change. besides there are rumours abpund abput the build quality of the 360.
I say no more. Based on this review and others that may arrive or are already up, you decide....!
