The fact that this is one of the earlier PS2 games does not excuse it from being a really, really crappy one.
The graphics are simply awful, but the main problem with this game is the handling of the cars. It is atrocious. Pretty much any PS1 racing game has better handling vehicles than this game, and MC is basically just a PS1 game with souped up graphics!
I can't for the life of me think why the handling is so bad, but having to use the handbrake to turn every corner is NOT a good thing, no matter how you look at it.
I suppose the cities themselves look alright, but the cars do not. They're too boxy, and just look poorly designed.
Thank god for MC3!
