SOS Escape pitches gamers into the realm of the unknown, to Capital City, a thriving industrial town, as it is ripped apart by violent earthquakes. As you step dazed into the city you are met with sheer pandemonium, total devastation and an overwhelming fear. There is now only one objective - to get out alive.

SOS is more than an exercise in survival, the player will uncover a story of epic proportions and a trail of greed, fraud and deceit. As the player digs deeper into the city and finds fellow survivors a twisted tale of human corruption emerges until finally they uncover the truth behind this seemingly natural disaster.

The unique perspective of this title places an ordinary man in the role of a hero. He has no super-powers, no blazing machine guns, he is just an everyday civilian, trying to save his skin and taking huge risks to seek out and help trapped survivors. It will take all your wits, skill and natural instinct to find a safe path through the demolished city.

Incredible obstacles lay in your wake. Capital City has become a concrete wasteland fraught with danger and uncertainty. The effect of the quake has turned the island into total chaos, deserted downtown areas lie clouded in thick smoke, oil trailers blaze, whole amusement parks collapse and underground arcades are no more than a twisted mass of rubble and piping. Nothing is familiar in this broken city, you will need to explore the vast ruins of the City to escape as it continues to shudder and fall from the ensuing aftershocks.

A harrowing sense of realism is created through these random yet powerful quakes. The player can be anywhere when they hit, adding a chill of the unknown to the struggle of survival and affecting the gameplay, hindering the player and their progress. Every earthquake is different, providing a unique new set of challenges and obstacles to overcome.
