America and Europe followed quickly, and the phenomenon that is Space Invaders was born. 25 years later the brand is as strong as ever, holding a place in the hearts of fans old and new. Popular culture latched onto Space Invaders as a core icon of computer games, and those pesky invaders have had a major impact on fashion, music, film and, of course, games.

The original is back! Space Invaders Anniversary PS2 offers a full complement of Space Invaders arcade games in all their glory, along with a couple of new surprises to excite and challenge the most dedicated of fans.

Keeping the original Space Invaders games pure and untouched has enabled the game to accurately portray the evolution of Space Invaders over its 25 year history.
