Disney's Treasure Planet PS2 for the PS2 brings Treasure Island, Robert Louis Stevenson's epic adventure of bloodthirsty pirates and buried treasure, into the future--a future in which the spaceship Legacy is overrun by mutinous pirates led by the cyborg John Silver. A combination of platform exploration adventure and space flying game, Treasure Planet PS2 is aimed at the younger gamer and sees the player controlling Jim Hawkins across a series of locations ranging from derelict mines and caverns on far-off planets to thriving spaceports. Evade and fight enemies with a precision laser pistol and put yourself to the test among the many perils of space on your rocket-powered surfboard with the help of Morph, John Silver's own mimic pet, who can assume the form of just about any similarly-sized object he chooses. Amassed against you are smugglers and space police, the mutinous and piratical crew of the Legacy, maintenance robots and even killer plants. You'll visit different and unique regions of the galaxy, including the dark and forbidding Montressor, the bustling spaceport, Crescentia, the Legacy spaceship and Treasure Planet PS2 itself, and meet a host of characters from the film as you progress, including Dr Doppler, B.E.N. the robot and Captain Amelia--plus of course the evil John Silver himself. Exclusive clips from the film punctuate the action, and movie characters--all with the original voice talent--will help you.
