It is June 1944, as a precursor to Operation Overlord, the invasion of Europe, thousands of troops are being dropped behind enemy lines by glider and parachute.
The objective of these troops is to capture or destroy key strategic positions before the main thrust of beach landings in Normandy.
Unfortunately weather has not been on our side, our entire task force has been spread across the French countryside. Fortunately for us this scattering of our men has made it look like the countryside is swarming with Allied troops, forcing the Axis forces onto the defensive. However with our men scattered, unit Commanders must gather any available units together and complete their initial objectives before the main Allied attack. Take a strategic part in the initial thrust of Operation Overlord, command your troops through the Normandy beach landings and fight your way right through to Hitler’s Eagles Nest at Berchtesgarden high in the Bavarian Alps.
